
Rebeca Velázquez-Publes is an advocate for children and families. Her nonprofit background in program design, development and management, coupled with experience in the fields of Workforce Development and Healthcare, have provided her various opportunities to address and move equity and social justice issues forward.
Currently, her role is as the Director of Programs for Health Net of West Michigan where she oversees all program operations, strategic planning and program evaluation. She is also a consultant for Familia Fuertes y Saludables a Strong Beginnings Program. She received her Masters of Pubic Administration in Nonprofit Leadership from Grand Valley State University where she was awarded a King Chavez Parks Future Faculty Fellowship.
A community service driven individual she serves on the board of the Hispanic Center of Western Michigan, as the Chairwoman of the Sigma Lambda Gamma Education Foundation and participates on the leadership team of the Latina Network of West Michigan.
